    Children & Youth

Growing up comes with unique pressures, and it can be hard for young people to manage big emotions or difficult changes. Children and youth may struggle with self-esteem, friendships, identity, anxiety, depression, or trauma, as well as life transitions such as adoption, foster care, or family changes.

With my background in Child Development and specialized training in Adoption-Competent Counselling, hosted by the Adoption Council of Ontario, I bring both knowledge and experience in supporting children and teens through these experiences. Counselling provides a safe, supportive space where young people can express themselves and feel understood. Together, we build coping skills, resilience, and confidence—and when needed, I collaborate with parents, caregivers, and guardians to create a strong circle of support around them.

    Individual Counselling

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and reaching out for support is a brave step. Individual counselling offers a safe, compassionate space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. Whether you are working through anxiety, depression, PTSD, the impact of trauma (emotional, physical, or sexual violence), or challenges with boundaries and relationships, we will move at a pace that feels right for you.

Together, we focus on understanding your story, developing practical tools, and strengthening resilience. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected to yourself, and confident as you navigate life’s challenges.

    Couples Counselling

Relationships can bring deep love and connection, but they can also carry conflict, distance, and pain. Couples counselling creates a supportive space where both partners can feel heard and understood. Together, we explore patterns of communication, unmet needs, and sources of disconnect, with the goal of rebuilding trust and connection.

Whether you are working through conflict, healing from hurt, or simply seeking to reconnect, this process is not about blame but about creating new ways of relating. The goal is to strengthen your partnership and foster a relationship that feels safer, more intentional, and more supportive.

    Family Counselling

Families grow and change, and with those changes can come both joy and struggle. Family counselling provides a space where each person’s voice is valued, and where we can work together to address conflict, transitions, or the impact of stress and trauma. This may include navigating adoption, blended families, shifting caregiver roles, or other changes at home.

With my background in Child and Youth Care, I bring a special understanding of how family systems impact children and adolescents. Through open dialogue and collaboration, we focus on strengthening communication, repairing relationships, and fostering understanding across family members, with the goal of creating connection and a greater sense of stability.
